Learn - Kids Wonder

Big & Lil’ Play Classes

Classes are created for Bigs (Caring Adults) and Lil’s (Awesome Kids) to support healthy child development to learn and grown in a safe, engaging, and supportive environment. Kids Wonder adapted Developmental Standards from the US Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Head Start. Classes focus on physical, intellectual, social and emotional skill building while having fun singing, playing instruments, and playing games. Can’t forget the joy of a colorful parachute, bubbles, and new friends.

  • Physical activities help children develop motor skills, build body awareness, confidence, and self-management.
  • Intellectual development activities build a child’s imagination, concentration, problem solving, and reasoning skills.
  • Social interaction with other children helps to develop empathy and kindness, as well as communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Emotional development activities increases a child’s resiliency, self-awareness, emotional regulation, and expression.

Lil’Learners

Lil’Learners classes are free with admission.
Kids Wonder believes children learn best when they are emotionally and physically secure, which is why supportive caregivers are children’s first and most important teachers. With that in mind, Kids Wonder has carefully created developmentally-appropriate academic classes for Bigs and Lil’s to focus on Early Learning and Social Skills. With guided lessons, Bigs help Lil’s learn about the Alphabet, Sounds, Numbers, Math & Patterns, Colors & Shapes, and Social & Emotional Skills.
